Hey FFLs (Fellow Food Lovers for those of you who are new!)-

How are we doing on those 2020 goals? Anything you're learning about yourself or about food in the process? I know I am. I am learning that I am stronger than I think when it comes to self restraint and that I do, in fact, have the ability to say no to delicious snacks. I am learning that there are crazy amounts of sodium and sugar in foods since I've started a daily tracker (I'm using MyFitnessPal).

Today I'm sharing my take on a Stir Fry Bowls, made right at home. These bad boys are EASY. Where my beginners at? This one's for you. And for everyone with plenty of skills but you're low on time or feeling lazy. Trust me, we all have those days (or weeks).

And yes, while I would love to have amazing #foodphotography skills, the steam is coming off of the bowl on this one. I'm not mad about it. It is a bowl that I actually sat down and ate after cooking meaning that these meals are real. I am not posing these meals for show.

My mission for this blog is to help the everyday home chef achieve easy and nutritious meals. Something for everyone!

As I mentioned, there is a LOT of sodium in our foods, and I am becoming more conscious about it when I shop. However, I am a HUGE fan of the Uncle Ben's Ready Rice due to pure time-management. After working 9-5, working out, showering, and prepping dinner, sometimes its a race against the clock to eat before 8 PM. Feel free to swap out any of the Sauces or Rice in this dish to make it less salty! For those of you on Whole30, check out Coconut Aminos as a sauce replacement!

I am giving this an LP Wellness Rating of a 6. It gets bonus points for being easy, but leans heavier into sodium than I typically like. The beauty of bowls like this is that you can pretty much toss any veggies and proteins in and it's gonna taste AWESOME!

Let me know what your favorite Stir Fry ingredients are, and we'll give them a try!
