What's the
LP Wellness Rating?

I'm Glad You Asked!

The LP Wellness Rating is based off a scale of 1-10 that I've created with absolutely no scientific realness behind it. I repeat, I MADE THIS UP! The LP Wellness Scale measures the recipes I share and determines how much all-around wellness they can bring to you and those you cook for.

A lot of recipes will tell you how many calories you'll consume. They'll tell you if it's truly deemed "healthy" or not. It's Vegan. It's Keto. It's Low-Carb. (These are all great things, and some of my recipes will come from these types of pre-existing diets/meal plans). However, in a constantly changing world, the thing that doesn't change about food is the way it makes us feel. One day cashews are in and the next day they're out. Some diets call for restrictions like meat and fat only while others call for extreme calorie deficits. While all of these nutritional complexities make our relationship with food stronger and make us more educated, it can be super confusing and often times conflicting.

Our culture is (always) shifting. And today we are looking in. We are prioritizing self-care. We are paying attention to what we put in our bodies. We care about the products we use and the effects they will have on the next generation.

So I want to know... how do these recipes make you feel? I'll share with you on the LP Wellness Scale how they made me feel, and would love to hear your ratings when you try them. What do you want to see more of? Less of?

I tend to always incorporate a meat, a vegetable and a carbohydrate to every meal. Something I discovered more recently since I've been documenting what I cook. My outlook on what I personally consider “healthy” is based almost entirely on having nutritional variety, strong flavors and the OG Food Pyramid.
